Gender Reveal!!

We are excited to be announcing the gender of the sixth little human to be joining our family.

Family standing by three black balloons ready for gender reveal.

Enjoy the short video of the reveal. So cute!!

baby boy-

If I’m going to be super honest, the selfish part of me really wanted a girl! Girls are just so much fun!

However, the more logical part of me wanted a boy! Let me explain. My husband is a first generation Christian. None of his relatives on either side are believers (that includes his parents). A boy would be another son to carry on our name, our legacy and further Christ’s kingdom. I think that is far more important than cute hair and dresses.

Lord, give us the wisdom to raise these kiddos for your glory! It is NOT easy.

pregnancy update-

We are now 21 weeks along. Our due date was initially Feb 5th but it’s been moved up to January 31st.

My pregnancy is still difficult, we were in the ER again last week. The pain is unbearable yet all the tests come back positive. Since God is the giver of life, He also sees my health and is trying to teach me something even through the difficulties.

Therefore, friends, your continued prayers are so appreciated.

Thank you for being part of our journey as we become a family of 8! I hope you enjoy these personal family updates. 🙂

And now the name choosing begins! 🙂 Here are a few we like: Silas, Elijah, Gideon and Titus.

Fondly,

Timur and Valentina, Benjamin, Joseph, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Abigail and Baby boy!

    1. Thank you so much, Marianochka. Haha, they are really excited too. They were just REALLY looking forward to a sister. I guess we’ll have to pray for another one and for God to give us a sister.

  3. Congratulations on having a boy! I’m sorry for your hard pregnancy! Praise God it only lasts a little while.

Raising up girls is far more than just cute dresses and bows. Being a girl and mother myself (I’m sure you can agree), I carry a huge role in life and it’s not one bit less than my husbands. So even if you had a girl, she can still carry on a legacy. After all the only legacy that matters is Christ’s. Girls further Gods kingdom too!

    1. Oh are you are soooo right, Linochka! I totally agree with you, both roles are just as important and a woman can really break or make a home. I meant our last name, the girls with take on their hubby’s name.

  4. I cannot wait for baby (insert name we agreed on but want to be a surprise) ❤️ He’s already sooo soo loved! You are such amazing parents and to see another nugget into the mix makes me so joyful!

  5. Valentina,
When the balloons burst, my eyes just filled with tears of joy! I don’t know why this old gal reacted, but I am so, SO happy for your family. That little angel picked your family to come to because it is such a special family. Please take care of yourself. If you figure out what the Lord is trying to teach you through the pain, let us know. I know I, along with others, I’m sure, have rough times, too. I am always trying to find what I am to be learning. Sometimes it’s hard to see and understand!
    Blessings to each,
    Chris Christensen

    1. Awww, Chris! Your comment was so beautiful it got me all teary eyed. Sniff, sniff.
Thank you for being a part of our online family.

  6. Congrats! I liked how you guys all matched! Nice video and pics. For some reason from the beginning I thought its a little gentleman even though it would be awesome also if it was a little sister for the girls. You are in my prayers. Yes, your kids’ recipe videos are also like by our children. We look forward to more.
May God bless you and ease your pregnancy.

P.S. What exactly bothers you the most when you say its giving lots of pain? Is that associated with liver? gallbladder? or other health issues?

    1. Lorka, you’re so sweet. Thank you for the congrats and appreciate the prayers.
It’s pain in my abdomen that is comparable to a really, really strong contraction that doesn’t go away for hours. When we went to the hospital I felt like I was giving birth and the pain lasted almost 2 full days, it was horrible.

  7. Valusha,
