Just wanted to thank you for taking time to reply to all your followers and for the interesting topics that you think of on your blogs. Like many have mentioned, your recipes are yummy, but also, its nice to read about other life…”stuff”.

This definitely was an interesting give away post, even though its almost a month ago. I had fun reading through all the comments and realizing how privileged we are to be mammas and blessed to have mothers who taught us so much and left positive examples.

Looking forward to having more This&That posts in the near future…or some testimonials.

Blessings to you and your family!

    • admin 06/12/2018, 10:39 pm

You’re so kind, Larisa! Thanks so much for the wonderful comment. I truly am blessed with the kindest online friends. I have some more great topics and conversations coming up and makes me so happy you all look forward to those. 🙂 🙂 Cheesing from ear to ear.

  • Elicia P 05/14/2018, 5:01 pm

Sadly the one thing I learned from my mother is to put my children first before others. My mom has forgotten that and that is why I am estranged from her.
The thing that I find the most challenging about motherhood is balance.

    • admin 05/15/2018, 4:46 pm

I’m so sorry to hear that, Elicia. Sadly, this rings true for many families. Hope that challenges us to be a different kind of mom. Thanks so much for coming on and visiting our online home. 🙂

  • Leanne 05/14/2018, 11:22 am

I love your broccoli cheese stuffed chicken breast!!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:52 pm

I really like your taste in food, Leanna, hehe. That is a REALLY good recipe. You’re tempting me to make it tonight.
Thanks so much for visiting and being a part of our online home. We’re so happy to have you.

  • BKarpov 05/14/2018, 10:17 am

The most rewarding mom moment, is when your children go out of there way to make you feel amazing!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:51 pm

Aaawww, that’s so sweet and special, BKarpov. You did a wonderful job of raising children who appreciate your hard work!
Thanks for visiting our online home. 🙂

  • Irina 05/14/2018, 9:57 am

Most challenging part of being a mom is finding the time to spend with the kids. Working full time and trying to keep up with kids is not easy.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:50 pm

Time management sure is difficult. Finding a system that works is so important or else you’ll be so tired and won’t have the energy to give back to the kiddos and hubby. Naps are your friend, Irinka! 🙂 You’ll never get everything done, but find time to spend on you. It’s so important. 🙂

  • Olena 05/14/2018, 3:22 am

I’m a mother of 2 kids and I learn from my mom how to be patient, carrying and loving. My parents showed a great example by teaching us all 14 how to love God. Im so thankful to Our God for our amazing parents!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:48 pm

What a blessing to have AMAZING parents! Such an undeserving gift from above.
Thank you, Olenka, for being a part of our online home. 🙂

  • Jenniferanne 05/14/2018, 3:09 am

There are many, but one of my favorite recipes from your blog is the Broccoli Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast Recipe! One of the challenges of motherhood is getting your kids to eat right — I’m pretty lucky that I don’t have fussy eaters! (And I subscribe to your blog)

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:47 pm

Thank you, Jennifer, for trying our stuffed chicken. That’s such a unique but delicious recipe.
I’m with you on that one. My kiddos are not really into veggies and it’s so hard to sneak them in, lol.
Really appreciate you being a part of our online family. <3

  • Lana 05/13/2018, 2:01 pm

My mother is definitely a woman of prayer, leaves everything in God’s hands – we see the answered prayers and definitely an example for us!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:46 pm

That’s so powerful that you are able to experience that first hand, Lana. Gives you such faith and inspiration to follow!

  • Rivka 05/13/2018, 12:12 am

I have learned from my mom to care about other people. My mom is always thinking, worrying, and doing for others on her own initiative.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:45 pm

Your mom sounds like an amazing woman, Rivka. What a blessing to have such an example to aspire to! So wonderful.

  • Kelly D 05/12/2018, 6:02 pm

I find it rewarding to see my children learn new things.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:44 pm

That really is so special, Kelly. You get to see life through their innocent eyes! 🙂

  • Nataliya 05/12/2018, 11:08 am

I thankful to the Lord that He gave me mom that taught us that payer life is always needed, she was a great example. I remember how she would go into the little storage we had to pray and everytime she came out you could see she cried before the Lord praying for us. I didn’t realize that was important until I became a mother myself and praying for your kids and husband everyday is very important! Pray hard for them while they are little soo you don’t have to shed tears when they grow up and you see they went the wrong way. Bless them to become the warriors of God and be that example for them.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:44 pm

Your comment is so beautiful, Nataliya! It’s so special. They is so much power in a praying wife and mother.
It truly is amazing what we realize about our parents and their sacrifices when we become parents ourselves. Our eyes are opened to so much more.
Thank you so much for visiting our online home.

  • Oksana C 05/12/2018, 1:23 am

Growing up I never got along with my mom. I always thought she was out to get me and I felt like she always had an issue with everything I did. I would complain to my dad about her all the time and he always told me, “just wait until you have kids and then your whole image of her is going to change!” Never did I believe those words but here I am two kids later and boom! My mom is my rock! We talk about twice a day and live only a few minutes apart. I would be lost without her, without her advice, without her help. How she had the patience for me or my six siblings I don’t know but thank You Jesus for giving us such a blessing!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:41 pm

I cannot say I had the best relationship growing up either. My parents are my go-to people for everything. Though I love my mom and she’s probably the closest human to me (after my husband), my dad is right there with her. I have such a special relationship with him. Parents are so wise and such a blessing if we take the time to be a part of their lives. <3

  • Lena 05/11/2018, 10:51 am

What amazes me about my mom, is how she managed 6 children, and a mini farm while we had no running water, no washing machine, and no disposable diapers… And I don’t remember our house being a mess or dinner being late.

I find the most challenging part of being a mother myself is time management, and proper training of my children so they grow up to be responsible and fear the Lord. What I love most is just being a mother is so rewarding, to give and receive unconditional love is priceless.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:40 pm

I’m with you on that one. When my mom shares her stories of how they lived I just want to sob crying for days thinking about their hardships. Yet she never complains and is so grateful in all she does. Such women to aspire to!
I just loved your last sentence, “to give and receive unconditional love is priceless.” And all the people said, “AMEN”!

  • Karolina 05/11/2018, 2:54 am

My beautiful mother taught me how to Love God. I think it’s so important.

I love the braised potatoes in the oven, we eat it all the time thank you!!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:37 pm

That is the most beautiful thing a parent can teach their child, loving God, especially with their life as an example. <3
Thank you so much for trying the recipes from our online home, we're so happy are here.

  • Elle 05/11/2018, 1:05 am

Both my parents are amazing! Our family immigrated to America when all of us children were very young. Not knowing the language, my mother managed to enroll us into school and helped us in our education while my father worked to support the family. My mother was also a passionate cook and very talented baker. Both my parents put in all their effort to provide us with the essentials and with as much more as they could afford. Despite the fact that we lived frugally, we had everything we ever needed. My parents often took us to parks and we enjoyed natural beauty on a daily basis. We learned to enjoy the intangible aspects of life, and now, those are the experienced that we treasure most. Overall, my parents made our childhood the best we could imagine.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:36 pm

I cried reading your comment, Elle. Your parents are AMAZING! Kind of gives me goosebumps. We had a very “frugal” upbringing too, we immigrated with nothing to our names and parents worked so hard to provide for us. So grateful to them for the sacrifices they made on our behalf.
If you mama has any “special” recipes that are “hers”, I’d be so HONORED to share them on my blog and her story. 🙂 🙂 valentina at
So humbled to have you a part of our online family.

  • Viktoriya T. 05/10/2018, 5:02 pm

The best and most precious thing i learned from my momis to be patient and calm.
Most rewarding thing now as i am a mother is when child or all of them come and express how much they appreciate my effort and care for them.
Our plans for the summer is to go and visit my and my husband’s motherland. We take our children with us and show them where we grew up and how different life is there [eastern Europe].

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:32 pm

Oh please tell me where you are going, Viktoriya. We are praying about possibly going to my husband’s home, Uzbekistan. Our kids have never been overseas and it would be such a wonderful experience for us all.
It truly is so special when your kids can verbalize and tell you how much you’re appreciated. Makes the hard work we do so worthwhile.

  • Olga 05/10/2018, 4:34 pm

Thanks for a great giveaway! I was blessed with an amazing mother who taught me to love God & people. My favorite recipe from your blog is baked chicken fajitas & broccoli salad with bacon.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:30 pm

She has thought you the most important two lessons that Jesus instructed us with. <3
Thanks for trying our family's recipe. We so appreciate it. True do!

  • Yuliya S 05/10/2018, 10:31 am

    – I am grateful for my mom who works at a hard job every day and still manages to find the time and energy to make food for the family and make sure the house is always clean. She always takes guests in to her house and will always feed anyone who walks through her door. My mom also does a lot at church. She’s the lead choir director of main and youth choirs, and always is in charge of feeding guests that come.

    – The most challenging part of being a mother for me is not getting enough sleep and always having to remind myself to stay patient. What’s rewarding is raising these children to know the Lord. I also love that children forgive quickly. They might be upset for a minute but then they still run to me for hugs and kisses.

    – I don’t have a favorite recipe, but every single one I tried turned out delicious! But I also really enjoy reading the blogs you post on life and different testimonies.

    – My plans for this summer is to do lots of housework with hubby. We have a brand new house which we moved into this past December, so there’s lots of work to do, especially outside (as it finally warmed up enough to be able to do it) Also I want to spend as much time as possible with my kids outside and then go on a little getaway vacation with the family 🙂

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:29 pm

I reread your comment like 5 times. I loved it! Thanks so much for taking the time to let me get to know you, I feel so special and like a friend.
Your mom sounds amazing! I love her already. We have guests in our home ALL the time as well, it’s such a beautiful way to serve others.
Thanks for letting me know you enjoy those personal posts, that means the world to me!
Housework, I love it! I went to school for an interior designer so when house design or work comes up, my heart kind of skips a happy beat, hehe. 🙂 I’d love to see your progress if you’d care to share, my e-mail is under CONTACT.
I feel like I know you now, Yuliya, and will look forward to more of your comments.

  • Donna 05/10/2018, 4:00 am

I am so so thankful that God have me not only the most caring and selfless mom but also a best friend I can talk and laugh with. She has taught me what it looks like to put others first and do so with a joyful heart.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:24 pm

Oh, how I love to hear when a mom and a daughter has a wonderful friendship. That just speaks VOLUME about the wonderful person you are.
You had an amazing mom that has passed down such valuable qualities. May God bless her tenfold.

  • Agnessa L 05/10/2018, 2:37 am

I am a mother of 3 children and a sibling of 14! I am honored to be my kids’ mom. I enjoy spending time with them, teaching them about God, and watching them grow and soak everything in. It is very rewarding to be called “mom”, and to get hugs and kisses before school and after i come home from work.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:21 pm

Your mom is an impressive lady, Agnessa! Wow!
I agree with you, it’s such a blessing and honor to be called “mom”! So so humbling.

  • Karina 05/10/2018, 12:58 am

I find that toughest thing for me being a mom is, finding individual time with each child. I have 4 and two are in school and two at home. One has disabilities so a lot of my attention goes towards her and I find it hard to find quality time with my other kids. I do just not as much as I’d like to.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:13 pm

You’re a wonderful mama, Karina. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I think everyone struggles with that. It’s a little easier when they get older and much easier. I love taking my kids for a night our individually. It’s so amazing to see how different they all are.
Many blessings on your life, Karina!

  • Marina 05/09/2018, 11:52 pm

I have the most amazing mom in the world who just doesn’t stop giving of herself. She has a serving heart and is always doing things for others. She loves her family deeply. She is so hardworking and full of life even though she has gone and still going through many hardships.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:11 pm

Sorry to hear that, Marina. It’s hard watching loved ones suffer. Kind of breaks your heart. I love to serve others as well. It’s the best feeling in the world. You mom sounds like such a special lady. <3

  • Tanya 05/09/2018, 11:31 pm

I come from a family of 4, and my mom is awesome. I learned from her not to give up on anything, because if I really want it it will work, of course if it’s God’s will. One of Her favorite qoates from the bible that she used to always tell me is that: you can do anything, but will answer for everything. Love my mom, she is my best friend. I am the oldes by the way.
Being a mom is a reward but comes with challenges lol. Love my kids and can’t imagine my life with out them and my husband. I have 3 kids and one on the way.
I love your recepies, and tryed a lot of them.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:08 pm

Oh, I love that so much. I’m going to add that to my prayer journal. Yes, we will answer for everything.
Thanks so much for trying our recipes, I feel so special!

  • Irina 05/09/2018, 9:15 pm

I’m so grateful for my mom who gave birth to 10 kids by the time she was 36 ? I honestly don’t know how she did it, it definitely wasn’t easy back in ??. She is a cancer survivor all glory to God for that!!! She is selfless, loving, hardworking, God fearing mom ❤️ Great example for many

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:07 pm

Wow, Irina! What a wonderful woman you get to call mom. Kind of gives me goosebumps when I read such amazing stories. Jesus, please watch over Irina’s mom!.

  • Yuliya Iasan 05/09/2018, 8:32 pm

I love being a mother of three; older girl and two boys. They are so sweet and give me such a great purpose to my life. I love seeing them grow and learn. And I love spending time with them! I can’t wait For summer to be able to spend more time with them all and go on walks at parks! I will probably homeschool next year and I can’t wait for this new challenge yet amazing opportunity! I never imagined myself a mother of one, let alone three, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:05 pm

That’s wonderful, Yuliya!! Homeschooling is a dream of mine as well. We are praying about it for our oldest next year as well.

  • Veronika 05/09/2018, 6:48 pm

For me the most rewarding is to see my children everyday and be able to hug them and kiss them. And that they are healtby. The thing that I’m working on right now tho is praying for more wisdom and more patients with them.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:04 pm

Love that you enjoy the little things that are so important. I’m right there with you in those prayers. 🙂

    • admin 05/14/2018, 12:01 pm

Isn’t it amazing to look at our moms who had large families and just how amazing they were? I only have five and think it’s hard, have no idea how they handled twice as much. There will be a special reward for those moms in heaven, no doubt.
Oh, that roll is a favorite, thanks so much for trying our recipes:).

  • Galina udodik 05/09/2018, 4:40 pm

My wonderful mama had me and my twin brother and now is the one person who understands how I am doing with my own 1 month old twins! It is awesome and hard work! She is also an awesome wife!

    • admin 05/14/2018, 11:59 am

I have always wanted twins. That was a dream of mine. Well, it never came to reality, lol. I wish I could see a pic of yours and love on them. I love babies so much. Many blessings on your health and you raise them. I bet it’s twice as tiring. You need lots of naps:)..

  • Olesya 05/09/2018, 4:33 pm

For me the most rewarding thing about being a mom is watching my baby grow and seeing the world through his eyes. Some days it can be hard to find that balance between being a wife and a mother. I am thankful to God for my wonderful loving mom who has taught me so much as well as my mom in law, she is the sweetest. I am blessed.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 11:58 am

Aaawww, Olesya. I liked your take on it, “to see the world through his eyes.” That’s so sweet! Such a blessing to have both mom and mother-in-law as wonderful women. Not many people can say that.

  • Viktoria z 05/09/2018, 2:19 pm

One of the rewarding things about being a mother myself is seeing my daughter learn what I do without me physically teaching her. She’s only 3 but she soaks up everything she hears or sees me do and when I see her doing something I do on the daily without me even having to ask her, it reassures me that I’m doing alright and it makes me a proud mama. Yesterday she helped me set the table up for dinner and put the spoons on the table next to each plate like she sees me do daily. It’s rewarding to see that I am molding her into something wonderful as she grows.

    • admin 05/14/2018, 11:45 am

Aaaawww, she’s so sweet. You are so right, they’re like a little sponge, taking in everything you do. You are being such a wonderful example to her, Viktoria<3

      • Viktoria Z 05/14/2018, 10:39 pm

Wow. You are the sweetest. You take the time to reply back to literally everyone who leaves a comment. That is amazing. Thank you

That’s wonderful, Gwendolyn. I hope they make you proud of their choices. 🙂

  • Liliya 05/09/2018, 12:53 pm

Every mom is special and important, but my mom… she’s the greatest mom in the world. She’s been through so much in her life, including having us 10 kids. But she never left God. She is our prayer warrior. She always prays for us, day and night. And I think that’s whats kept me safe and alive all these years. Even when I was not “right” with God, and I chose to go on my own path, my mom was always there for me, praying for me and loving me. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to express my love for her, and now that I am a mother myself, I appreciate my mom so much more. May all the moms have the most amazing Mother’s Day this Sunday. You deserve it.

Liliya, I got all teary-eyed reading your comment, it’s so touching. What a beautiful way to describe your mom. She is so blessed to have a daughter as yourself who appreciates her. <3 <3
My mom had 13 kids (2 passed away) and life was not easy for her. Not at all.
Have a lovely weekend as well and thanks so much for visiting our online home.

    Hello Valentina!
My father in law lives in Ukraine, so I loved finding your blog so I can teach my kids to like Ukrainian foods. We love buckwheat now! Here where we live in Georgia (The country of ??) it is called tsitsibura and it is a daily staple. 🙂
What I admire most about my mama? She has ten kids, and despite the busyness of her life, she truly exemplified a life given to Christ. I would wake up every morning and she would be in the kitchen drinking coffee and reading her Bible. Because of her, Christianity became real to me. And she’s my best friend! I’m blessed. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 9:16 am

Alisha, huge welcome to our family’s blog all the way from Georgia!! We are so humbled to have you.
What a beautiful way to describe your mom. I pray when my children get older, they will be able to say such beautiful words of observation about me as you do of your mom. So beautiful. What a testimony she is of a woman to aspire to.
Thanks so much for visiting our online home. <3

  • Kristina 05/09/2018, 7:31 am

My favorite recipe from the website you have are the broccoli boats appetizer that you have. Every week I view your blog and am excited to see new recipes, thanks for sharing weekly. Hardest about being a mom for me is not getting enough sleep when they are little. You just get worn out physically. But being a mom is a reward everyday eveb though it gets tough somedays.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 9:05 am

Kristina, thanks for sharing that you get excited to see if we have anything new. That’s so encouraging and I so appreciate it.
Yes, sleep is a bit of a stranger when the kids are younger, haha. It does get easier with sleep as the kids get older. But then there are different kinds of difficulties in that season of life.
Thanks for being a part of our online home. 🙂

    Hello dear Valentina and family,

One of my favorite recipes on your blog definitely has to be “Timur’s Chocolate Cake”. I’ve made it countless times, and everyone always loves it.

One of the most challenging things for me as a mother is balancing my wifely duties with motherly duties, and making sure my husband always knows and is sure of how much I love him even through busy days of cares and troubles with the children. As I have more kids, I realize more and more the importance of the wife and husband relationship and how much it affects our children. Ireally enjoy reading your posts on family life, as they remind me of priorities in our lives.

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve ever posted anything on any website. Something about your site gives me a very peaceful feeling of joy and encouragement, and I am thankful for coming across your blog and for you sharing your life lessons and recipes with us )))

    With love in Him,

    • admin 05/13/2018, 9:02 am

Marina, your comment is so sweet. Truly is. Makes me blush.
That’s a wonderful recipe, just needs pictures slightly updated. 🙂
It truly is difficult balancing everything, I totally agree. I think it’s most difficult when the kiddos are young and require so much personal attention. But it’s only a season and they grow up and depend less on us. 🙂
Thanks so much for being a part of our online family.

I got all teary-eyed reading your comment, Yuliya (sitting at an airport). I just cannot imagine the void a mom’s passing leaves in one’s heart. Heaven probably becomes oh so dear. I bet you will carry on your mom’s legacy and will be just as wonderful of a mom and wife! Many blessings. 🙂

  • NADIA 05/08/2018, 8:51 pm

Thank you Valentina for this giveaway!
The thing I find most difficult in this motherhood journey is balancing my “wife” duties and “mom” duties, and switching from one to the other without going crazy!

I have 7 kiddos and I learned that I don’t need to be a “perfect” mommy. I just have to be the best i can be and show my kids that I love them!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 2:11 am

Nadia, what an amazing woman you are! I totally agree, there is no such thing as a perfect mom and the sooner we learn that, the happier we will be in life. 🙂
Wishing you many blessings as you juggle being a wife and mom, that’s a hard balance. You are wonderful. Happy Mother’s Day.<3

  • Nancy 05/08/2018, 8:10 pm

I have an incredible mom who shows so much love for her 3 daughters & 4 grandkids. She’s a very hard working woman that puts everyone before herself. I’ve learned a lot from her and still do but one of the many things is to take each day as a blessing.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:58 am

Your mom sounds like a wonderful woman who has raised wonderful children. What a blessed to your legacy. Happy Mother’s Day, Nancy!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:57 am

She has passed along some amazing wisdom we can all learn from! So special.
Thank you so much for sharing, Kathy!

  • Viktoriya 05/08/2018, 7:38 pm

My mom is my hero. These past 11 years have been a struggle every day. After mom had my baby brother in 2007 she got diagnosed with lung cancer. She went thru surgeries, chemo, chemo side effects, cancer spreading into colon then brain and many many more chemo thru out these past 11 years. Thru it all she has always been positive and happy always smiling. She has thought me to be strong and positive about life. I love being a mom to 4 babies. Even tho they are all under 4 it can be a struggle but at night when they kiss me good night and tell me they love me it’s the best feeling in the world! I love to bake and my family really loved the royal delight cake! No plans for the summer yet but hopefully more lake time and just time outside with the kids!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:50 am

I really enjoyed your comment. Seems like life hasn’t been all that easy for your family, breaks my heart reading the pain your mom’s been to. It’s so inspiring to see that no matter how hard things got, you’re still able to see the positive! Your 4 kiddos are so blessed to have a mom as you. Many blessing, Viktoriya. Happy Mother’s Day.

      • Viktoriya 05/15/2018, 7:07 pm

Thank you Valentina! Hope you had a great Mother’s day!

  • Chris 05/08/2018, 7:35 pm

Thank you, Valentina, for the give away! Here are my responses to your questions:

After a recent visit with our son, I have found that seeing the good man he has become is more than just rewarding. He’s a good husband and father. On the other hand, I find it challenging when I try to offer advice which he disregards, LOL. I think I know a little more than he just due to experience let alone age! Thank goodness for unconditional love!

    Now for the second question.
While I didn’t have a positive childhood, I am ever so grateful for my mother’s cooking abilities and teaching me how to be unafraid to tackle recipes! I am a great cook (and it has rubbed off on our son as he is also an amazing cook who is fearless in the kitchen)! My mother was Italian, so I have learned from her instruction as well as my Nona’s. Both women made pasta by hand, and always had food that was heavenly!

That being said, Valentina, YOUR recipes are also wonderful. The best thing is that they come out just the way they should! You create wonderful ones! Anything with crab in it is a “go to” recipe! Thanks for sharing so many workable recipes that are worth the time!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:42 am

Reread your comment several times, Chris. It’s so special. Thank you for being a part of our online family and for trying our recipes. Means so much.
The good man, husband and father he has become is a reflection of the wonderful parents that gave him a wonderful upbringing. 🙂

  • Mila 05/08/2018, 7:33 pm

My mom as well as mother in law are truly a blessing to my family and to me, such a great role models. Most important what I have learned from both of them is that “prayer changes things”. Most challenging to me as a mother is to raise my seven kids to love God and to be faithful to him and obey his word, no matter what they will face in life.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:32 am

Mila, how wonderful that you have such women of faith in your life. That’s such a blessing, and what a blessing to your children to have such women of faith leading them! Truly is inspiring. Wishing you many blessings and health.

  • Tanya 05/08/2018, 7:29 pm

I just love about my mom is that even though she is 71, she helps me with kids and even goes and help me niece! That’s a wonderful example for me! Love my mom!♡

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:26 am

Your mom sounds like a wonderful woman, Tanya. How sweet of her and how special that your kiddos have these memories with her. That’s so inspiring. Blessings upon her.

  • Julia 05/08/2018, 7:19 pm

This mothers day is very special for me as I am very grateful to have my mom still here with us. She went through breast cancer 6 years ago and recently had been given bad news that her cancer returned. Made me realize how precious our life is and how much we have to cherish time that we have on this earth with loved ones. Wishing to every mother happy mothers day!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:25 am

This is such a beautiful comment, Julia. What a wonderful reminder to all of us to cherish the moments we have with our loved ones. Thanks so much for sharing.
Sending prayers for your mom and your family. May God be with you through this time.

  • Nadia 05/08/2018, 6:52 pm

Being a mom of 4 and raising up children in this life time is very hard!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:21 am

I agree, being a mom is SO much work. It’s especially difficult when the kiddos are young and are so dependent on you. That season of life passes so quickly, enjoy it. Happy Mother’s Day, Nadia:)

  • Lisa 05/08/2018, 6:41 pm

Thank you so much for keeping this on the “newsletter”. I get tired of those that require us to go to other social media to enter (I don’t). Would love to win either prize. Love your recipes and your site in general.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:19 am

Thanks so much for being a part of our online family, Lisa! 🙂

  • Julie 05/08/2018, 5:49 pm

I learned how to clean and cook from my mom! Also taking care of my younger siblings helped me become a better mom.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:19 am

Those are such valuable lessons. Moms are wonderful. Happy Mother’s day to you. May God bless you and our family.

  • Lisa Underation 05/08/2018, 5:09 pm

My mother died when I. Was 16 years old. I have such wonderful memories of our short time and I have lived more years without her than with her. Some of my fondest memories though as I enjoy this page is our time spent as she taught me to cook. We tried new recipes, no fear. Our motto was “if it fails, there is always Mac & Cheese” and we would laugh. My sense of adventure in cooking is by and large as a result of her mentoring. She would have absolutely loved this group! To all those moms who have lost a mom, we have the opportunity to share their life thru ours. Memories are blessing

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:18 am

Wow, Lisa. This was such a powerful comment! I loved your “if it fails, there is always Mac & Cheese” wisdom.
We would have loved to have her a part of this group. May your kids love and respect you as much as you did your mom. <3

  • Janine Hinson 05/08/2018, 4:57 pm

My proudest moment being a mom was when my adult son told me that he is grateful that I raised him as I did, with a very clear sense of right and wrong.

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:16 am

Aaaww, Janine. That truly is a wonderful and sweet moment. I hope my kiddos will be able to say that of me. 🙂 May God keep your son safe and bless him.

      • Janine 05/14/2018, 4:44 pm

I know that your children will definitely say the same to you. I can tell that you and your husband are doing such an amazing job raising them. They are such a delight to watch on your videos.

  • Tanya 05/08/2018, 4:47 pm

I love the braised potatoes recipe you have. It’s delicious!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:15 am

Thank you, Tanya, that’s a favorite of mine as well. It’s so much easier baked than cooked on the stovetop. 🙂

  • lyuda 05/08/2018, 4:29 pm

oh how fun! would love to get either one. Working full time with 3 kids ain’t that easy… any cooking tools/supplies help!

    • admin 05/13/2018, 1:14 am

That is tough! It does get easier the older the kiddos get, Lyuda! 🙂
