1 – Using our homemade breadstick recipe, prepare the dough. Roll the dough into a 12” x 17” rectangle with a rolling pin. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2 – Spread an even layer of marinara sauce on the dough, leaving about an inch border.

Ingredients

stromboli dough –

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour measured then sifted
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar

filling –

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • cups shredded cheese**
  • 1/4 lb pepperoni slices
  • 1/8 lb salami
  • 1/8 lb ham

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the sifted flour and create a well in the center.
  • In a separate bowl, add warm water, butter, and salt. Pour the mixture into the well. Sprinkle the yeast and sugar on the water and gently stir, activating the yeast. This should take about five minutes.
  • Mix the dough until well incorporated, cover, and let rise for an hour.
  • Flour a surface and roll the dough into a 12” x 17” rectangle. Place the dough on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread the marinara sauce on the dough, leaving an inch around the edges.
  • Spread the meat evenly in layers and top with cheese.
  • Roll up the dough and tightly pinch the edges so nothing comes out while baking.
  • Brush the top of the dough with the egg wash.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the stromboli for 20-25 minutes or once the top is golden brown.
  • Wait until slightly cooled before cutting into slices. Dip into marinara sauce and enjoy!
