Surprise.. Surprise…

Surprise.. Surprise.. We are so excited to announce we are expecting another baby. Yes, you heard that right, baby #6 is on the way. We are 15 weeks pregnant with a due date of February 5, 2019.

Expecting baby surprise announcement.

My husband was going on a mission trip with our two older boys and due to not knowing whether we would miscarry or not, we wanted to wait until they got back from the trip to announce the news to our children. So, they flew in this past Thursday evening and we planned to share the news with them on Saturday.

Husband and wife with an expecting sign.

baby reveal for the kids-

So grateful to my sister and nieces for their help in making this surprise so sweet!

We told the kiddos we were going to do our fall pictures sooner this year (they were so confused, lol). So, when we got to the part we acted like it was a normal family photoshoot. We took a few family pictures and then the ladies set up all the kids sitting down and told the kiddos that mom and dad were going to kiss so they had to close their eyes. When they closed their eyes, we retrieved our board and held it together. When they opened their eyes, they all turned around to a huge surprise.

It was so sweet. None of them believed us. They were all so stunned and surprised. Like completely shocked!

Sharing surprise baby annoucement to siblings.

We had a lot of complications during our pregnancy so our doctor advised us not to have any more children. We gave away all of our baby things and so this was a TOTAL surprise to us. At the end of the day, I truly believe God is the giver of life and He knows what is better for our family. Now that the shock has died down, we are so so excited to love on another human being. One that will make a difference in this world.

God has a special plan for this child of ours – no question.

Baby announcement.

Thank you all for being a part of this journey with us. We truly have the kindest friends and online family. XO XO…

Sign Adding Baby Six to the Mix.

And now let the name game begin. Since all of our children have Bible names, we will continue this tradition. 🙂 Looking for a cute Bible name for a boy and a girl! Any ideas?

I’m pretty sure we need a baby girl to even out the boys, don’t you all agree? Next doctor’s appointment we will get to find out the gender of this little surprise!

Are you #TeamGirl or #TeamBoy?

Expectant parents.

Fondly,

Timur & Valentina, Benjamin, Joseph, Elizabeth, Nathaniel and Abigail.

Adding baby six to the mix.

P.S. My sister came up with the idea for the sign. Since we have a cooking blog, the “mix” sounded so fitting. I love it. Thanks, Jess!

Though I will take whatever God has planned for us. 🙂 I have a feeling this baby is going to be spoiled by each and every sibling. They are on cloud nine (after the shock sunk in;).

  9. I have an idea for you, actually it will be great if you will document your pregnancy and recovery after pregnancy and share with all of us how to stay tuned pregnant and with recovery being pregnancy and after having baby…. Challenges to raise Godly child (like virtuousmotherhood) or something like that. It can be one of your new tabs for your blog… Documented mission trips or etc. This will help your blog to expand 🙂

  10. Congratulations!! God bless you, and give you and the baby good health. 🙂
We also do the Bible names theme
    & we also have 5 kids 🙂
Joseph, Rachel, Benjamin, Judith & Nicodemus. We call him Nick for short. Also, I really like the name Esther, but my sister is named that and a few weeks ago my sister in law had a baby who they named Esther. For boy names I like Noah, James, Luke, Mark, to name a few.

  14. Congratulations! May God bless you and your baby with health. This is most important, the health. You should give some advices how you manage everything; blog and 5 kids while you are pregnant. I have 3 kids, and it is hard, never is not enough time. But I can’t imagine 5 kids and pregnant. My kids’ names are: Sophia-Sara(6 years old), Rebeca-Grace (3 years old) and David-Jacob (3 months old). Please give me some advaces how you plan your day. Thank you! A healthy and easy pregnancy!

    1. Thank you, AnaAbabei, you’re so kind. Since I am rather cooped up in bed lately, I’ve got a ton of personal posts in the works I’m praying through and have been typing up. I can’t wait to share them with you all, so stop back and visit. I love your kids’ names, they are beautiful solid names. Rebekah is a top name for us as well.

  15. May God bless you!!! One more gift from heaven!!! How excited!!! Praise God!!!
We’re blessed with 5 gifts too, same as you 2 girls & 3 boys ? we have Bible names to our kids too (Timothy, Paul, Ruth, Daniel and Miriam)
But now exiting that you’re getting one more ?? Wishing that all go smoothly by Gods mercy!!! ??

    1. Lily, I just LOVE LOVE all of your kids’ names. Our middle son’s name is Timothy, our second son’s middle name is Paul – great minds think alike. Ruth is a wonderful name as is Miriam (both are in our top pick), both were wonderful and influential women in the Bible.

  16. Congratulations Valentina and Timur! I’m super excited about this announcement and for new addition to your beautiful family. I can’t imagine this little princess or prince not to be loved on. For sure God has a good sense of humor. He surprises us human beings and sometimes intervenes even when we try to control our family size or doctors tell us we will die or have Down syndrome children or if we think we can’t handle it. A few years ago I went to get flowers with all three of our little ones, before our fourth one was here. That flower shop lady, made a comment that I have a handful. Which sounds funny to me because I know many other mommies who have way more children…but anyhow… she was in her fifties, told me a story how her mother had three girls and decided to have sterilization done and got her FT tied. Then to everyone’s surprise, she got pregnant and had another girl. And she says that this fourth child was the only one who could make her mother a grandma. Three older never were able to bare children. Another patient of doctor’s office where I used to work at, told me how they were planning to have only seven, and that’s it. But with that pregnancy God have her twins. She said “He showed us Who’s in control.” Was the sweetest little old lady.
I have you and your pregnancy in my prayers. May everything go way smoother and easier for you with this little blessing. My deliveries were hard also, and lasted long, and recoveries weren’t easy, like I’m sure many of your followers can testify to…..but we shall FEAR NOT. Let us all trust and obey the One and Only One who is the Life Giver. He is the God of Hope and Love.

Also, if you are not feeling well, take it easy. Don’t feel obligated to post as often as you think you should. So you won’t overstress yourself. Your readers will totally understand! ?We will be here for you.

I loved how you surprised your children. So planned out, organized, and oh so sweet.

I like the idea of Bible names. Previous comments have good name suggestions.

    1. Larisa,
I always enjoy reading your comments. You’re just the sweetest. You truly are right, at the end of the day, God is the giver of life and He knows what is best for us. This baby is already so so loved by everyone and we don’t even know the gender yet. I can only imagine the amount of love that will be had one we meet him/her.
It was a bit difficult to pull off that surprise but I’m so glad we were able to make it work and be able to capture it.
I have been taking it easy. I rest for a big part of the day because I just don’t feel good. Resting has allowed me to start personal posts that have been on my heart for a long time. Isn’t it amazing how that works? Me being in bed should be a horrible thing, but I’m able to work on spiritual posts and those are the nearest and dearest to my heart. I just cannot wait to pray through those and share them with the rest of you.

  17. Valentina congrats to you and Timur on your addition to the mix!! We are super excited for you! ????I say it will be a girl! I love name Jolene!
I have 3 kiddos Mark Victoria and Lucas. Mark and Lukas ( better version of Luke) is also biblical names but Victoria is name I loved ever since I was little girl. Also Elsi is my second favorite!! For boy, I love Mason and Kaden!
Hope your pregnancy goes well, trust in the Lord with all of your heart, also have sence of security that he will help you get through it! 😉

    1. Thank you for the sweet blessing, Alinochka. You’re so sweet. I love your kids’ names. They are beautiful. My sister has a Mark and Lucas and my other sister a Victoria. All great, strong names.
Many blessings to you and your family.

  18. I’ve just discovered your blog and read the exciting news of your family growing. Congratulations! You’re right, God does have a plan for your baby and will undoubtedly mark their path. My daughter’s name is Josephine and she goes by Josie (it’s a female version of Joseph). One meaning I had read of the name meant, to increase, which could be totally appropriate in your case! Another name that I love, love, love is Eden. I’m surprised it’s not used more often but am glad that it’s somewhat a hidden gem. 😉

    1. Huge WELCOME to our online home, Monica. We invite you to be a part of our online family. I love all of the names you suggested and especially, Eden. How cute is that! So original. Thank you for visiting.

  19. What a great news Valentina!!!!!!!!! That’s Goods another blessing in to your family!!! Our boys are Derek(Dariy) -ruler for the people , Salem ( Salim) -peaceful. We always pick names by its meaning. God bless your baby and you as well!!!!!!!!!!!
