This Creamy Layered Jello Recipe is the ultimate no-bake dessert! Creamy strawberry layer topped with a layer of classic strawberry jello loaded with fresh strawberries
In a saucepan, bring two cups of water to a boil. Add in 6 oz of gelatin and mix until well combined. Removed from heat and set aside to cool completely.
Mix together with a mixer the sour cream and cool whip until combined. Add in the cooled strawberry jello and combine.
Add the creamy mixture to a 9x13 glass dish. Refrigerate to set for about 15-30 minutes.
Jello Layer-
In the meantime, bring 2 cups water to boil, add gelatin and mix. Remove from heat and add 2 cups cold water. Set aside to completely cool.
Once the cream layer has thickened, add the sliced or chopped strawberries and then slowly pour the cooled jello over the creamy layer and fruit.
Place back into the refrigerator and allow the jello cake to set and become firm.
Slice and serve.
Notes
You can use a variety of jello flavors to customize this cake.
This cake can be made the night before and refrigerated overnight.
Refrigerate leftovers and enjoy for the next 3-5 days.
