Ingredients

Chicken teriyaki-

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken, thighs or breast
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Teriyaki sauce-

  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes or to taste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the recipe for homemade teriyaki sauce. Set aside.
  • Cut the chicken into small bite-sized cubes.
  • In a skillet, saute the chicken with 1 Tbsp oil until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the chicken is cooked and browned pour in the sauce and toss and cook until warmed.
  • Serve with desired dishes.
