How to Cook Rice

Easiest recipe for how to make rice in the oven. Baked rice fluffy and perfect every time.

Servings: 6 servings


  • 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, cubed


  • Rinse rice under cold water until water runs clean. 
  • Add the rice, water, chicken broth into a casserole dish. Season with salt and mix.
  • Add the cubed butter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes at 400°F. Bake until liquids are absorbed, and rice is tender.


For cilantro lime rice add 3 Tbsp juice 3-4 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped.
