Crockpot Roast Recipe with BBQ

This crockpot roast recipe produces the most tender beef. The beef is slow-cooked in the crockpot to juicy perfection and then finished with a delicious barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

roast -

  • 3 lbs chuck roast beef, 2″ cubes
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 6 garlic cloves sliced
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter sliced

sauce -

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Sweet Baby Ray’s
  • 1/4 cup A1 steak sauce or favorite steak sauce
  • 2 Tbsp hot sauce any brand, optional

Instructions

  • Cube the meat into 2” pieces.
  • Add the meat to the slow cooker and season all sides. Then add the sliced onion, sliced garlic cloves, and sliced butter.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 4-5 hours.
  • Once the meat is cooked and tender, remove it from the crockpot. Add the meat to a baking dish and cover with the barbecue sauce mixture.
  • Broil the meat on high for a couple of minutes or until the meat is crispy.
  • Serve, and enjoy friends!

Notes

  • Cube meat into same-sized pieces for even cooking. 
  • Store the leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
