Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing
A creamy poppy seed dressing is the perfect condiment to make from scratch. The ingredients are incredibly simple and come together to make the perfect summer salad dressing. This creamy poppy seed dressing is perfect to serve with a variety of flavorful salads.
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 ½ Tbsp white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp poppyseeds
- 1/4 tsp salt
In a mason jar or small bowl, whisk the salad ingredients.
Refrigerate until ready to serve over your favorite salad and enjoy.
- Adjust the flavor as needed. Once the dressing is mixed, taste it and adjust the seasoning. Add a little more salt, sweetness, or acidity until it tastes just right.
- Refrigerate before using. Letting the dressing chill for at least 30 minutes helps the flavors blend and enhances the overall taste.
- Make it ahead of time. Prepare the dressing in advance and refrigerate it for an easy, ready-to-use addition to salads throughout the week.
- Store properly. Keep the poppy seed dressing in an airtight container or mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Give it a quick whisk or shake before serving, as some separation is normal.
