This ground beef and broccoli recipe is a classic 30-minute stir fry that tastes incredible. This dish is loaded with protein, broccoli, and a homemade sauce, making for a healthy and tasty combination.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the broccoli and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring as needed. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet, then add the beef and cook it until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with your spoon as you go along (about 5 minutes). If there's lots of excess fat, spoon some out.
In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the sauce by whisking together, then add the sauce to the pan with the butter.
Reduce the heat to medium, add the broccoli to the pan.
Stir/toss until coated and the sauce has thickened (about 1-3 minutes). Take the skillet off the heat and serve immediately.
Notes
Use the right beef. Use 90/10 beef for the best results.
Thicken the sauce. When adding the sauce to the pan, allow it to simmer to thicken up.
Store leftovers. Keep leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days. To reheat, add the stir fry to a pan and heat until warmed through.
