Whipped Ricotta with Honey (Easy 5-Minute Dip)
A classic whipped ricotta with honey makes the perfect easy and delicious appetizer. In just 5 minutes, you have a fluffy ricotta base, and that drizzle of honey brings everything together. Serve with crackers or crostini in the dip for the perfect starter.

- 15 oz ricotta cheese about 2 cups
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
To a food processor (or blender), add the ricotta, olive oil, honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Blend and pulse until the mixture is smooth. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides, if needed.
Transfer the whipped ricotta to a serving bowl.
Drizzle with the honey, add pepper flakes and herbs,
Serve with crostini, baguette, or pita chips.
- Use the right ricotta. For the creamiest, richest flavor, use full-fat ricotta when making this dip.
- Blend until smooth. When whipping the ricotta, blend until the texture becomes light, airy, and completely smooth.

- Storage. Store leftover ricotta dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Enjoy it chilled as a quick dip or spread for sandwiches.
- Freezing. Freezing is not recommended, as it can affect the texture of the ricotta.
