Our bang bang chicken skewers are an immediate hit not only for the taste, but also for the quick and easy process. Skewers of juicy chicken breast, coated with a spicy bang bang sauce, cooked to perfection in the air fryer.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the bang bang sauce and set aside.
In a large bowl, toss the cubed chicken breasts with the oil. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic, mixing well to coat evenly.
Thread 4–5 chicken cubes onto each skewer. You’ll get about 8 skewers.
Arrange the skewers in a single layer in an air fryer basket.
Cook at 425°F for 12-14 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Transfer the skewers to a plate and coat with half of the bang bang sauce. Serve the chicken with the remaining sauce on the side for dipping.
Serve and enjoy, friends!
Notes
Soak skewers. Place the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking to prevent them from burning.
Chicken prep. Cube the chicken into equal-sized pieces for even cooking.
Cooked through chicken. Check that the chicken is cooked through using an instant-read meat thermometer. Once the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F, it is ready.
Garnish. Top your chicken with sesame seeds and fresh green onion for a stunning visual.
Store leftovers. Keep leftovers in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 3 days.
