EASY Crispy Chicken Sandwich recipe! Chicken marinated in buttermilk dredge in a seasoned breading and fried until crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Cut the chicken breast half giving you 4 chicken cutlets. Beat chicken with a meat mallet so it's even in thickness.
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt and pepper. Add the chicken fillets into the buttermilk, allow to marinate 30 minutes or overnight.
Mix together all the ingredients for the breading.
Take the chicken from the buttermilk marinade and dredge in the flour mixture.

In a Dutch oven or large pot with a thick bottom, add enough oil to completely cover chicken breast when submerged. Heat until oil is about 350°F.
Once hot, add the chicken and fry until golden and crsipy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer chicken to a place lined with a paper towel.
While chicken is frying, prep all the toppings. Assemble sandwich.
