topping ideas-

Instructions

  • Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Arrange them on a parchment paper-lined tray.
  • Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate chips until smooth or your favorite method to melt chocolate. Mix consistently to prevent clumps or burning.
  • Hold the strawberries by the stems and dip them into the melted chocolate, and place them on the parchment paper-lined tray. You can also use this dipping tool set for an easier process.
  • Add melted white chocolate to a piping bag and drizzle the strawberries.
  • You can also sprinkle the strawberries before the chocolate sets. You can use nuts, coconuts, crushed graham crackers, or sprinkles.
  • Allow the chocolate-covered strawberries to set for an hour or until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

  • When picking strawberries, look for large, ripe ones for the best results.
  • Pat the strawberries completely dry so that the chocolate will stick.
  • Leaving the stems on the strawberries makes them easier to hold and gives them a lovely appearance.
  • When melting the chocolate, heat it over low heat until melted. Using high heat will result in the chocolate burning and being ruined.
  • When garnishing the strawberries with toppings, do so before the chocolate hardens; otherwise, the toppings won’t stick.
