Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Rise Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour 17 minutes
Servings: 1 flatbread

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour measured then sifted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp oil canola or olive oil
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  • In a bowl, sift the flour and salt and create a well in the center of the flour.
  • Pour the warm water and oil into the well. Sprinlke sugar and yeast over the water allow yeast to activate.
Mix to combine until well incorporated.
  • Cover the dough and allow to rise for one hour.
  • Roll out the dough to about 8"x13” in size. Place dough in a baking pan on parchment paper. (Roll out dough even thinner, if desired.)
  • With a fork, poke holes in the dough and bake at 375°F for 12 minutes.
  • Serve as desired.

Notes

  • Flatbread should be baked before adding sauce and toppings. This gives the crust the perfect crisp.
  • Once toppings have been added, bake the pizza at 375°F for an additional 10-12 minutes. Bake for a few minutes longer if you want an extra crispy crust.
  • Refrigerate the raw dough: Once the dough has risen, you can refrigerate it for up to a week before using it. When you are ready to use, remove it from the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for an hour before using.
  • Freeze the raw dough: You can store the pizza dough for up to 3 months! Simply add the risen dough to plastic containers with lids. Store in the freezer until you're ready to use. To thaw, add the plastic containers to the refrigerator and thaw overnight. Once thawed, allow the dough to come to room temperature for about an hour.
