Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¾ tsp ground paprika
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 lb beef sliced thinly
  • 1/2 red pepper thin strips
  • 1/2 green pepper thin strips
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 12 oz Hawaiian buns
  • 4 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • butter spread ingredients:
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ tsp italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder for seasoning, and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 teaspoon of oil and 1 teaspoon of butter over medium-high heat. Season with half of the seasoning blend.
  • Add the beef to the hot pan and saute until almost fully cooked.
  • Remove the meat from the pan and add another tsp of oil and butter. Add the sliced peppers, onions, and mushrooms to the pan. Cook over medium heat until tender, but not so soft that it becomes mushy.
  • Add the meat back to the pan and season with the remaining mixture.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls lengthwise and add the bottom buns to a casserole dish. Spread the mayo on the bottom half of the sliders.
  • Spread the meat and veggie mix on the bottom buns and top with sliced cheese.
  • Add the top buns onto the sliders.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the butter spread ingredients. Brush the top of the rolls with the seasoned butter.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Uncover the dish and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Cut the sliders into individual pieces, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • When cooking the meat, ensure the pan is heated to a medium-high temperature. When you add the steak, you want to hear that sizzle; otherwise, the steak will steam instead of searing.
  • When slicing the bread, be careful to cut evenly through the middle. Otherwise, you may have a top or bottom that’s too thin.
  • When baking, ensure the sandwich is cooked until the cheese is nicely melted.
  • Store leftover sliders in the fridge, tightly wrapped. To reheat the sliders, air fry the individual sandwiches until toasty and melted.
