Chocolate Meringue Cookies Recipe
Homemade Chocolate Chip Meringue Cookies are so simple to make and are so delicious. Crunchy chocolate meringue on the outside and soft and chocolatey on the inside.
Preheat oven to 300°F. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes.
Without turning off mixer, beat in the vanilla and sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form (about 3 minutes), the mixture will be glossy.
Add cocoa to the mixture and with a wooden spoon or spatula, gently fold in the cocoa.
Fold in the chocolate chips morsels.
Drop by heaping tablespoons onto baking sheet.
Bake 35-45 minutes or until dry.
