Chewy and Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
An easy recipe for the BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies made from scratch. The homemade cookie dough batter yields soft and chewy cookies loaded with chocolate chip morsels.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, salt and vanilla. Add one egg and mix, lightly beating after each egg. In a small bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Add the flour to the butter mixture. On low speed, beat until well incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chip morsels.
Shape 24 medium cookies (or 16 large balls).
Place cookies onto baking sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes (11 minutes for the large cookies).
