Easy Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe

This easy Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe loaded with shrimp and vegetables in the most delicious Asian inspired sauce. So easy and quick to prepare and completely ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms, quartered
  • 1/3 red pepper, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups medium broccoli florets
  • 3 Tbsp garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp ginger, grated

stir fry sauce-

  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 ½ Tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp sriracha sauce (or hot sauce)
  • green onion, optional
  • sesame seed, optional

Instructions

  • In a skillet, saute shrimp with 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp oil, about 2 minutes per side. Once shrimp is cooked, remove from the skillet.
  • In the same skillet, add another 1 Tbsp butter, 1 Tbsp oil and the chopped onion, cook 3-4 minutes, until tender.
  • Add an additional 2 Tbsp butter, broccoli florets, mushrooms and red pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, or until vegetables are desired doneness.
  • Add in minced garlic and ginger, stir and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine all the ingredients for the stir fry sauce, pour in to the vegetables and cook over med heat until the sauce thickens.
  • Add shrimp back to skillet, reheat shrimp and serve.

Notes

Storage: Store refrigerated for up to 3 days.
Vegetables: You can use your favorite veggies for the stir fry.
