Turkey Sandwich Recipe
This turkey sandwich recipe isn’t your typical turkey club! Toasted bread is topped with a secret sauce and avocado combination, creating a unique flavor profile. We stack layers of meat, cheese, and fresh vegetables to make a restaurant-style sandwich that will have you wanting more the next day!
Sandwich -
- 2 slices squishy sourdough bread
- 1/2 ripe avocado mashed
- 2 slices of your favorite cheese
- 2 slices of bacon cooked
- 1/4 pound sliced deli turkey or turkey breast
- 2 slices heirloom tomato
- 2 slices of romaine
In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the spread.
Optional: Toast the sourdough bread in a pan until golden and toasty.
Spread the sauce on one side of the bread slice.
Add the mashed avocado to the bread.
Layer on the cheese, bacon, turkey slices, tomatoes, romaine, and the second bread slice.
Close the sandwich, slice it in half, and enjoy!
- For the best bread for this sandwich, use homemade sourdough or buy it from a local bakery.
- We use deli turkey meat, but you can use leftover turkey breast from a Thanksgiving turkey!
- Store leftover sandwiches in the fridge for 1-2 days for optimal freshness. You can make the sandwich ahead of time for the perfect lunch.
