I don’t know about you, but I love a fun sandwich! Everything from a ham and turkey club sandwich to a saucy reuben sandwich, you can’t go wrong with a sandwich for lunch. This healthy turkey sandwich recipe is not your typical boring turkey club, as it’s packed with a special dressing and a variety of vegetables.

What Kind of Cheese is Best?
Use your favorite cheese in this sandwich! We love to use Swiss, pepper jack, colby jack, or white cheddar.
Substitutions and Variations
Here’s how you can switch up the flavors of this sandwich to keep it fun and flavorful:
- Spicy sauce: We love to use spicy mayo in our sandwiches to add a fun kick of Sriracha!
- Grilled cheese: Rather than toasting the bread slices, you can toast the assembled sandwich to make a gourmet grilled cheese.
How to Make a Turkey Sandwich

- Make the spread. In a small bowl, whisk together the spread ingredients.

2. Avocado. Top the bread slice with mashed avocado.

3. Assemble. Top the bread with cheese slices and crispy bacon.

4. Top the sandwich with turkey slices and sliced tomatoes.

5. Lettuce. Top the sandwich with fresh lettuce leaves.

6. Finish. Top the sandwich with the second bread slice.
Valentina’s Pro Tip
I think we’ve all had a time when slicing a tall sandwich, and it falls apart and turns into a mess. To avoid that, tightly wrap the sandwich in parchment paper and cut through the paper. This will keep all the toppings in place.
Serve a Turkey Sandwich
- Salad: A salad and sandwich are a classic combo, and we love a creamy caesar salad with this sandwich.
- Soup: Enjoy this sandwich with a hearty vegetable soup for a comforting combination.
- Fries: For a restaurant-level combination, pair a turkey avocado sandwich with fresh parmesan fries.

Store the Sandwich
Refrigerate leftover sandwiches for 1–2 days.
