Cajun Shrimp Recipe

This cajun shrimp recipe makes the perfect protein that comes together in just 10 minutes! The shrimp is juicy and cooked in a buttery cajun sauce, making it the best recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Tbsp cajun seasoning

Instructions

  • Peel and devein the shrimp and pat the shrimp dry.
  • Add the shrimp to a bowl and toss with cajun seasoning.
  • In a warm skillet, melt the butter and add the garlic. Cook the garlic until it is fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp into the skillet, saute over medium heat, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp is cooked through.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the shrimp: Shrimp overcook quickly, so it is vital to keep an eye on it as it cooks. You don’t want the shrimp to be rubbery.
  • Storage. Keep leftovers in the fridge, in an airtight container, and store for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat. Warm up the shrimp in a pan or in the microwave until reheated.
  • Freeze. Store the shrimp for longer by freezing it! Add the shrimp to a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat: Thaw the shrimp in the fridge overnight and reheat on the pan until warm.
