One of my dearest friends, Ivanka, shared the recipe for this salad with me. She brought the salad to a ladies’ Bible study and we all fell in love and for a good reason. The salad looks so beautiful unmixed and the combination of flavors is amazing. Shredded romaine or lettuce with tomatoes, radishes, tomatoes, bacon and cooked eggs with a homemade dressing. 

how to make this layered salad-

  • Cook the eggs and saute the bacon.
  • Chop the romaine or lettuce and add as the first layer of a salad bowl.
  • Slice the red pepper into thin strips and add atop the lettuce.
  • Thinly slice the radishes, layer of peppers.
  • Add the fresh peas as the next layer, finely chopped green onions.
  • Spread mayo and parmesan cheese as a layer.
  • Add the cooked bacon as the next layer.
  • Slice the tomatoes and place atop the bacon.
  • Slice the eggs and add over the tomatoes.
  • Top with remaining parmesan cheese and freshly grated pepper.
  • Enjoy, friends.

This recipe can be prepared up to one day in advance. You can serve the salad as is, without mixing.

This is a great salad to make around the holidays, for parties or potlucks. It’s always a crowd please.

Layered Salad

A great and easy layered salad with lettuce (or romaine), sliced tomatoes, red peppers, cooked eggs with a layer or mayo and Parmesan and bacon. The perfect recipe for potlucks.

Servings: 8 servings


  • 1 romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 6 radishes, sliced
  • 3/4 cup peas
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz bacon, chopped and sauteed
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 eggs, cooked and sliced
  • ground black pepper


  • Boil the eggs, allow to completely cool.
  • Saute the bacon, transfer to paper towel and allow to completely cool.
  • Tear the romaine (or lettuce) and into a bowl as the first layer.
  • Thinly slice peppers and place on top of the lettuce.
  • Thinly slice radishes and add over the peppers.
  • Add the peas (don't use canned).
  • Chop the green onion and add over top of peas.
  • Carefully, spread the mayo, then the Parmesan cheese and some freshly grated pepper. (Reserve about a tablespoon of cheese to sprinkle on top of the eggs.)
  • Add the cooled bacon.
  • Slice the tomatoes and place atop the bacon.
  • Sliced the cooled eggs, add overtop of tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese. Add some freshly grated pepper.
  • Enjoy, friends.
