- Better ingredients. Who knows what the store-bought candied nuts have in them? Making them yourself is a great way to be mindful of what you eat.
- Fresh taste. Homemade nuts taste so incredible; they are nothing like the stale store-bought kind.
- Easy to make. These nuts are so easy to roast you’ll have them done in less than half an hour.
What Goes in Candied Almonds
The ingredients for these candied almonds are pretty simple! The raw almonds are coated in a butter and egg white mixture, giving them that crisp and shiny exterior. We top ours with a sprinkle of a cinnamon sugar mixture for a great flavor and a beautiful caramelization.

How to Make Candied Almonds
These almonds couldn’t be easier to make:

- Whisk together the butter, egg white, and vanilla in a small bowl.

2. . Mix salt, ground cinnamon, and sugar; stir to combine.

3. Add almonds to a large bowl, pour the egg white/butter mixture over the almonds, and toss.

4. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the almonds and stir lightly.

5. Spread the coated almonds in a single layer onto a parchment paper prepared baking sheet.

6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the baking pan from the oven. Allow the almonds to cool completely before serving.
Other Cooking Methods
The oven method is our favorite because it requires little effort and is mess-free. However, here are some other cooking methods:
- Candied almonds on the stovetop:
- Add all of the ingredients to a pan on medium heat.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Candied almonds in the crockpot:
- To your slow cooker, add all of the ingredients.
- Cook the almonds on high for about an hour.
- Air fryer candied almonds:
- Add the almonds coated in sugar to the air fryer basket.
- Bake at 350°F for about 8 minutes or until the nuts are golden-brown.

Serving Suggestions
- Salad topper: Add roasted nuts to a crunchy salad like our cauliflower and broccoli salad, which is perfectly complimented with candied almonds.
- Ice cream topping: These candied almonds taste so delicious on top of vanilla ice cream.
