Why Make Your Own Roasted Almonds

Yes, you can buy these at the store, but here are some reasons to make them yourself:

  • Better ingredients. Who knows what the store-bought candied nuts have in them? Making them yourself is a great way to be mindful of what you eat.
  • Fresh taste. Homemade nuts taste so incredible; they are nothing like the stale store-bought kind.
  • Easy to make. These nuts are so easy to roast you’ll have them done in less than half an hour.

What Goes in Candied Almonds

The ingredients for these candied almonds are pretty simple! The raw almonds are coated in a butter and egg white mixture, giving them that crisp and shiny exterior. We top ours with a sprinkle of a cinnamon sugar mixture for a great flavor and a beautiful caramelization.

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a pan on medium heat.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Candied almonds in the crockpot:
  1. To your slow cooker, add all of the ingredients.
  2. Cook the almonds on high for about an hour.
  • Air fryer candied almonds:
  1. Add the almonds coated in sugar to the air fryer basket.
  2. Bake at 350°F for about 8 minutes or until the nuts are golden-brown.
