No-Bake Black Forest Cheesecake

There are recipes that hold a special place in my heart. Some are my hubby’s favorites and others are our kids’ favorites. Then there are those that have a story behind the recipe. Every time we enjoy the recipe, we think of the story behind the creations of that particular recipe. Some are my mama’s recipes that she generously passed down to us and a warm feeling comes over every time I make her recipe. Then there are dessert recipes like this one that just make my heart sing. I love no-bake cakes like the no-bake Spartak cake, or this wafers dessert or this blueberry one. As much as I LOVE to bake (especially layered cakes), no bake desserts are my favorite. It gets pretty hot here in the summer. The idea of not having to turn on my oven yet have a beautiful and delicious dessert waiting for the Mr. when he gets home from a LONG day of work just makes me HAPPY, like really happy.

So. For those of you till hesitant whether you should try this, just go for it. You truly have nothing to lose (well maybe just gain a tighter waistline, lol).
