  • To shape your biscuits, you’ll want to use a biscuit cutter or a cookie cutter.
  • Use a meat chopper to break up the meat as it’s cooked.

Valentina’s Expert Tips!

  • The perfect biscuits. When making biscuits from scratch, be sure to use cold butter. This helps keep the biscuits flaky after baking.
  • Season to taste. Breakfast sausages vary in saltiness, so when making the gravy, taste it as it cooks and season to taste. Seasoning before tasting can result in a salty gravy.
  • Serve immediately. Biscuits and gravy taste best when the biscuits are fresh out of the oven, so serve this dish fresh.
  • Shortcut. You can just drop the biscuit mixture by spoonfuls without shaping for a quicker recipe.
