These Truffle Cookie Kisses just melt-in-your-mouth they are so soft and buttery. Classic butter cookies shaped into kisses and tossed in cocoa powdered sugar is such a treat around the holidays.
how to make truffle butter cookies-
- Mix together the butter and flour. The mixture will be lumpy.
- With a fork mash together the egg yolks and sugar. Add to the flour mixture. Mix everything again.
- Shape each cookie into the shape of a large Hershey’s kiss.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20-25 minutes (or until the cookies are golden in color).
- For the coating, combine the sugar and cocoa in a bowl.
- Once cookies have just about completely cooled coat them with the powdered sugar/cocoa.
CHEF’S TIP: To ensure the cookies are all the same size, divide the batter into 10 equal parts and each part will yield about 9 cookies.
Because the cookies are so small and bite sized, they make alot of cookies. You just enjoy each cookie with one bite. If you make the cookies larger, the cook time will be longer.

Ingredients
cookies-
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, measured then sifted
- 3 cooked egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- walnuts, optional
coating-
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
Instructions
- Mix together the butter and flour. The mixture will be lumpy.
- With a fork, mash the egg yolks and sugar until fine. Add to the flour mixture. Mix everything again. (You can mix by hand or with a dough hook in mixer.)
- Shape each cookie into a Hershey’s kisses shape. (If adding walnuts to center, shape cookies into round balls.)
- Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20-25 minutes (or until the cookies are golden in color). Allow cookies to slightly cool.
- Combine the powdered sugar and cocoa in a bowl to coat the cookies.
- Once cookies have just about cooled, completely coat them in the powdered sugar and cocoa.
