These Truffle Cookie Kisses just melt-in-your-mouth they are so soft and buttery. Classic butter cookies shaped into kisses and tossed in cocoa powdered sugar is such a treat around the holidays.

how to make truffle butter cookies-

  1. Mix together the butter and flour. The mixture will be lumpy.
  2. With a fork mash together the egg yolks and sugar. Add to the flour mixture. Mix everything again.
  3. Shape each cookie into the shape of a large Hershey’s kiss.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20-25 minutes (or until the cookies are golden in color).
  5. For the coating, combine the sugar and cocoa in a bowl.
  6. Once cookies have just about completely cooled coat them with the powdered sugar/cocoa.

CHEF’S TIP: To ensure the cookies are all the same size, divide the batter into 10 equal parts and each part will yield about 9 cookies.

cookies-

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, measured then sifted
  • 3 cooked egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • walnuts, optional

  • Shape each cookie into a Hershey’s kisses shape. (If adding walnuts to center, shape cookies into round balls.)
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20-25 minutes (or until the cookies are golden in color). Allow cookies to slightly cool.
  • Combine the powdered sugar and cocoa in a bowl to coat the cookies.
  • Once cookies have just about cooled, completely coat them in the powdered sugar and cocoa.
