  • RICE KRISPIE CEREAL– We love using Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal for this recipe but you can use an off brand rice krispies also.
  • MARSHMALLOWS– For this recipe you want to use fresh marshmallows. We prefer using the mini marshmallows because they melt a lot quicker than larger ones.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS-

How do I store rice Krispie treats?

Once the rice Krispie treats are cut into bars, store them in an airtight container at room temp up to 3 days.

Can I freeze Rice Krispie treats?

This recipe is so easy we do not recommend freezing the treats!

Why do my rice Krispies treats get hard?

If the bars are hard, the butter and marshmallows were heated at a very high temperature. You want the marshmallows to melt at a slow pace giving you a gooey mixture that turns soft.
