What kind of apples to add to this moist apple bread?

Just about any kind apple will work. You just want to make sure it won’t get too mushy during the baking (McIntosh will do that). A crisp apple is best; Granny Smith, Gala, Golden Delicious or Melrose are all great choices.

Looking forward to making this for my church coffee hour. Wonder if I can sub apple cider for the milk. I think the recipe may need the milk fat. Oh, well. A bit more butter.

That’s so kind of you to make this for your church family. I love getting together with our church family, so special. I don’t thin apple cider will be a good substitute for the milk, Michael. Enjoy the bread.

I made it this weekend and turned out amazingly well! It’s quick and easy to make. The kitchen smelled incredible as it was baking. Also swapped in a gluten free flour mix for the regular flour, and it held up very well. Love this recipe!
