  • Slice the Hawaiian buns in half lengthwise.
  • Place bottom of buns in a baking dish.
  • Add ham and cheese over buns.
  • Generously pour the honey mustard sauce.
  • Add the tops of the buns.
  • Brush rolls with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Bake and ENJOY!

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, with sour cream, honey, Dijon mustard and paprika. This is such an easy recipe for homemade sauce but it will become a favorite! Double the portion for this recipe to serve as a side – you won’t regret it.

Ham and Cheese Sliders Recipe

Hawaiin buns loaded with slices or ham and cheese and a honey mustard sauce. The tops of the rolls are brushed with garlic butter.

  • 12 Hawaiian buns
  • 3/4 lb ham
  • 1/2 lb provolone cheese

  • Preheat oven to 365°F.
  • Cut the rolls in half. Remove top of rolls.
  • Lay out the ham, overlapping each other. Add the cheese over the ham, overlapping the slices.
  • Combine ingredients for the sauce. Spread half of the sauce over the cheese. Add the top of the buns.
  • Combine melted butter and garlic. Brush top of rolls. Lightly sprinkle with poppy seeds. 
  • Cover with foil. Bake 18-20 minutes until cheese completely melts. Remove foil, bake another 3-5 minutes until tops of rolls are golden.
  • Dip in the extra sauce if desired. Enjoy, friends!

    You had me at the sauce, though I did use maple syrup instead of honey and replaced the paprika with cayenne. I like my sliders soft and melty so I shredded the cheese so it would melt faster and didn’t brush with butter. I made them a day ahead (covered/refrigerated) which I think made them that much better. The sauce, again, flavored the fillings which took them to the next level. Thank you for this inspiring recipe, especially among so many ham & cheese sliders that are out there!

      We just had these sliders for lunch today with a salad:). You can use your favorite ham (off the bone and black forest are what we usually purchase).

      Hi there! Love serving others, how fun for you. This is a really simple recipe and rather inexpensive. I think you’d best do two recipes that way if anyone wants seconds there will be some. You can always refrigerate the leftovers and enjoy it the following day if you will have any. Enjoy your time. Hope they are a hit with everyone.

    if i wanted to feed twenty people, would these ingredients amount cover one for each person, probably more, or would i have to double or triple it? basically I just want to know how many people this amount of ingredients will feed. but they look really good!

      Hi Leah, these are perfect for Bible study. For easier serving place parchment paper under the buns and when they are finished baking pull it out with the parchment paper then cut them 🙂

    Loved! Loved! Loved! Them it was a hit in our family as well:)) I didn’t have sour cream so I used Greek honey yogurt, it worked very well:) I also ran out of honey so I used maple syrup:) tasted amazing!! Love your recipes Valentina!!
