  • Platter– You want to make sure you have a large round, or rectangle cutting board or serving tray to put all your things onto.
  • Mugs– We love using these adorable glass mugs for the hot cocoa, or these classic mugs.
  • Hot Chocolate– We use our homemade hot chocolate or peppermint hot cocoa when creating a board. Store-bought mixture will also work.

HOT CHOCOLATE BAR TOPPINGS-

The topping possibilities are endless! Here are some of our favorite toppings we like adding to our hot chocolate bar party:

  • Marshmallows– Use a variety of shapes and sizes of our marshmallows to the platter. From mini marshmallows to jumbo ones, you can add any kind that you prefer.
  • Chocolates– What is a hot chocolate bar without the CHOCOLATE! Mini chips, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, chocolate bars, hershey kisses, chocolate shavings, and flavored chocolate bars will all work when arranging the charcuterie board.
  • Candy– The most important candy you want to add to your platter is candy canes and peppermint sticks! We also like to add hershey kisses, caramel candies, toffee bits, and crushed andes mint candy along with crushed peppermints.
  • Syrups– For the syrups we love to add chocolate, caramel sauce and white chocolate syrup for drizzling your hot chocolate!
  • Sprinkles– Of course you cannot forget the sprinkles!
  • Whipped Cream– We love adding whipped cream or a bowl of cool whip to enjoy with your drink.

TIPS ON HOW TO ASSEMBLE HOT CHOCOLATE CHARCUTERIE BOARD-

Arranging a charcuterie board is so simple and there isn’t really any certain way you have to do it, the only rule is to have FUN! Here are some tips on making the best hot chocolate charcuterie board:

  • Add ingredients into bowls and small bowls or ramekins along with adding mini spoons for serving.
  • Place the bowls around the board, spreading them apart. Then add remaining ingredients around the bowls so there is not empty space.
  • Keep different colors spread apart evenly so one side doesn’t dominate in color.
